Christmas fun in Utah!

Andersen Family Christmas..

Let me warn you now..this is going to be a LONG post!! We have had so much fun with our families in Utah so far and we are only half way through our trip! The first week we were here was the girls' 11th birthday! So we were partying all week long. They had three birthday parties! It was a lot of fun! They also are playing the violin in school so they had a little concert one night. The funniest thing happened..they had Santa come and be a part of the concert and while he was in front of everyone talking....his PANTS FELL DOWN!! It was the funniest thing. He didn't notice at first and then the lady he was talking to told him. He got really embarrased and left and never came back. It was definitely a highlight. The girls are going to be the next Mozart! They did a really great job and had a really fun birthday I think!
We also went to temple square one night and Savior of the World. It was really fun! I love temple square, it is so beautiful. Savior of the World really put you in the right Christmas spirit. I had never been and it was really good. Funny story, the first time Ralph proposed to Heidi was at temple square....and she said NO! So they took a picture to re enact the saying NO! It is a big joke now!

A few other little things while we were at the Andersen's was, Josh has these wierd cysts that grow on his head. His uncle is a plastic surgeon and takes them out for him. So one day we had the opportunity of going and getting his cysts removed! I will never go with him again. It was awful. It hurt him so much! Then later when we came to Richfield my sister in law, Cori who is a nurse, removed his stiches. So here are a few pictures of that adventure!

Beagley Family Christmas...

Next we headed on down to Richfield to spend Christmas. One of our traditions is we make homemade ginger bread houses! So one day my mom and I made the ginger bread house stuff. She got us new aprons for it also! They are so cute! Then on Christmas Eve we made gingerbread houses! Pretty sure Josh and I won. We made Fish Lake, where we got engaged. It was pretty cool. My parents made a boring old Ginger bread house, and my brother and Cori made a basketball court and pavillion and stands and stuff. Yeah WE WON!

Also on Christmas Eve we always get P.J's! So here is a pic of all of us in our Christmas Eve jammies! Callen and Kelly came down one night also and we played Wii and dipped chocolate! It was really fun and good to see them!

Christmas!

I love this time of year! I love putting up Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas music. It puts you in such a Christmas spirit! I put up our tree and our decorations last week and it was so fun. We didn't get to put up our decorations last year because we were living with Josh's parents. So it was fun to get it out! It was like the first time! I was also able to make most of my Christmas gifts this year, I have had a lot of time on my hands with not going to school or having a job! I have made scarves for all my grandmas, cute snow men for all my neighbors, hats for my sister-in-laws and I can't say what I made for our parents yet! I'll post it later after I give it to them. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! Oh yeah Josh and I are going home in like 4 DAYS! I'm not excited or anything! :)

Thanksgiving!

Josh and I were able to travel to Connecticut and spend Thanksgiving with his Aunt and Uncle, Mindy and Drew! It is so nice to have some family out on the east coast, it makes us not feel so alone! We were able to go up on Wednesday and buy all the stuff for the feast! We stayed up till 2 in the morning trying to make pies and get some stuff ready so we didn't have as much to do on Thursday. I was so proud of us because we made the whole dinner just Mindy and I! We made homemade pies, stuffing, cranberry sauce, yams, potatoes, rolls, green bean casserole, pretty much the works! We make everything with only one oven and it was all very yummy! Drew also made his famous cream roll for dessert, which was delicious! They just had a baby and she is the cutest thing ever! Baby Halle! We had so much fun! We went and saw Yale's campus, because Drew is going to Med School there. We also went to the beach and were able to see the beautiful sights of Connecticut! It was so fun to spend Thanksgiving with family being so far away and get to know them better! We stayed up till like two in the morning every night just visiting and laughing! Sometimes we would get a case of the giggles! :)

With it being Thanksgiving, it has made me reflect on everything that I am so grateful for! First of all is my wonderful husband! I could not ask for more! He is wonderful to me and I am so lucky to have him! I also have the best family and in-laws in the world! They are the best that anyone could ask for and I am so grateful for that! I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ! It blesses our lives so much and I don't know where I would be without it! I am so grateful for the opportunity that we have to go to school and further our education. I am also so thankful for trials in our lives and how it makes us grow and become more like the Savior. Although sometimes when I am going through them, I tend to forget that. I am so lucky! We had a wonderful time in Connecticut, thank you Mindy and Drew for letting us come and stay with you! We had a blast! We love you all and hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Chemotherapy?!?

Who ever thinks in their life they are actually going to have to have a chemo treatment? I never thought so! But with this crazy molar pregnancy I had, my tissue grew back so I had to go in today and get a shot in both hips of methotrexate, most often used for leukemia and breast cancer etc. I'm not going to lie it kind of freaked me out. And the needle was SO long! So far I haven't had any side effects besides being really tired and hopefully I won't have any and I'll only have to get one treatment. We will see I guess! I will try to keep you all posted on how things turn out.

Making Jam and Football fun!

This weekend Josh had an away game so I went and stayed at my friend Britten's house. On Friday night we made homemade jam! We found a steal on strawberries at the Farmers Market and bought a whole flat of strawberries for 6 dollars! It was cool. It was my first time making jam and it was really fun! Now I know how to do it! Then on Saturday we went to Bethlehem PA and watched Josh's game against Lehigh! It was a really pretty campus. Her kids were so cute! They were dancing and playing and loved watching Josh play football. He only has one more game left WOOT WOOT I am so excited! One season down...one more to go! Family visit!

This weekend Josh's parents Ralph and Heidi were able to come visit us for a quick trip to see Josh play football! (Ralph told me I had to put his name really big and bold so there it is!) It was really fun! We visited and went to dinner and watched Josh play football! They also stocked us up for the winter with food! Thank you so much! :) We always need food! It is always fun when family comes to visit and we love showing them our little town here! Ralph was so funny he was lovin the football game. He was hugging the mascot and running around all over. It was pretty funny! We can't wait to go home for Christmas and visit everyone for a long time.

WoOt WoOt!!

Today Josh's parents bought us plane tickets to come home for Christmas! THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We will be in Utah for TWENTY EIGHT DAYS!!!! I am SO SO excited. So is Josh but mostly he is just for school to be done and football to be done so he can have some time to breathe. I can't wait to go home. And we have already been here for 6 months so we only have 18 more left! Halloween was different this year because Josh had a game in Maine so he was gone. So I was able to go to my friend Britten's house because her husband was working graveyards, and we had some good girl chat and digital scrapbooked! Then on Saturday it was our stake temple day so we went to the Washington DC temple. I was so glad I was able to go even though it was a long day it was definitely worth it. I will never take for granted being so close to temples again!!! It is an ALL DAY trip out here because it takes 3 1/2 hours to get to the temple, and thats if you don't hit any traffic! Josh's parents are coming out this weekend to come to his game! We are very excited to see them! Oh and Congrats to the Lady Cats and my dad for taking State in 2A Volleyball! I wish I could have been there! I am so proud of him! I hope you all had a Happy Halloween!

Trials in life..

Well it has been quite some time since I posted last and ALOT has happened in the life of the Andersen's. To make a long story short I have been VERY VERY SICK the last about three weeks and come to find out I had a Molar Pregnancy (google it if you want to know more). Anyways I had to have some surgery and stuff but things are going great now! Except I had to quit school because I missed so much and I couldn't make it all up. So now I have to decide what to do with the rest of my life! And the best thing is my MOM got to come out and visit during this time! She was here for 10 days to help me out and boy did we need her. My house was a MESS because I had been on the couch sick for so long. She helped us so much while she was here. I don't know what we would have done without her! I took her to the airport today and it was kind of sad. But we will be home in like 6 weeks for Christmas so there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I felt kind of bad while she was here because we didn't get to do a whole lot because I was recovering so she just kind of had to take care of me. But we did get a chance to go to the movie. We saw Nights in Rodanthe. I wouldn't exactly recommend it unless you like slow, sad, movies and watching old men make out. It was pretty gross!! I couldn't really get into it. But we played some games and went on some walks and watched lots of movies. Not to mention my mom scrubbed my house from top to bottom and re-caulked our tub! She also taught me how to make pies and we cooked alot of good food! She is such a life saver! But it's times like these when your faith is tried and we must turn to the Lord and He will comfort and bless us. Josh and I have had quite the ride since we moved to Pennsylvania. We have grown and matured far beyond what I ever thought possible...and we've only been here 6 months! It's hard being out here with no family or friends but it is making us grow closer and turn to each other. It is very good for our relationship. Here are a few pictures of our adventures while my mom was here. She loved the leaves changing here, and took a lot of pictures. They don't even do it justice. It is so pretty out here during the fall. That's one thing I like about Pennsylvania!
