Thanksgiving etc.

Well we had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We headed down to my parents house Wednesday night. Jaxson has decided he hates the car so he screamed the ENTIRE THREE HOURS! I am not even exaggerating a bit. You would think he would get tired of screaming, but no way! This year we celebrated with all of my Dad's family so they all got in Wednesday night or Thursday morning. We had a wonderful dinner and stuffed ourselves as usual. That night Josh and I decided to have our first black friday experience. We wanted an Xbox and Kinect and Walmart was having a screaming deal so we headed to Walmart about 8:45 to wait in line for the sale that started at 10 PM. There was already a line for the Xbox so we got in it. They gave us numbers and then there was a lot of waiting. At 10:00 I could not believe the noises I heard! It sounded like a stampede and there was ripping plastic and cardboard and people running. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen! We quietly waited in line and picked up our Xbox and walked out. While I was waiting in line Josh decided to go wait in line for some games for the Xbox. He came back and looked haggard and said it was the craziest thing he had ever seen. He said it reminded him of Jurassic Park when they drop the cow in the dinosaur cage and it is just gone! That's what happened at ten is everyone in the front grabbed everything and all that was left was broken cardboard! Ha ha. Friday Josh went back to get some more deals, while I shopped online. I have decided online is much easier! I got all the same deals that were already sold out at the store from the comfort of my parents' house with no crowds! It was very nice! The rest of the weekend we just relaxed and ate more yummy food!

Here are some recent cute pictures of Jax I had to share! I looked back at him the other day while we were out running errands and he was sitting like this! He has been doing it a lot lately with his hands behind his head and legs crossed. He is such a big boy!

Once again, looking cute while sleeping! Don't mind my pregnant face in the background. Yikes.

Jax in his favorite hat from Grandma Joyce!

For our last drama....Wednesday night we woke up to wind howling about 3 in the morning! We thought it was going to shatter our windows! It was the craziest thing I have ever seen, needless to say we did not sleep much that night. About 6 AM on Thursday the power went out, by 8 we were FREEZING! I called my sister in law and we went and camped out over there for the day because we had no power. The power company told us most things should be back on by 5 PM, if it was not on by then, be prepared for 48 hours with no power!! 5:00 rolled around and we still had no power. So we decided to stay at my brother's house. Josh and I made a trip home to get some stuff for the night and it was so freaky! When we got off our exit everything was pitch black and all the stop lights were out and it was nuts! Our power came back on sometime during the night I guess, but when we got home look at what was in our front yard!

The 50 foot pine tree right next to our house snapped in half and hit the house in front of us! If it would have fallen the other way it would have smashed our house and gone right through Jax's window! We were very lucky with the way it fell! It was pretty crazy, it made me want to get more prepared for power outages and stuff. I mean, we have food storage and stuff, but really no way to keep warm and in the winter that is not a good thing! Hope everyone was safe in the crazy winds!

I'm Back!!

Well I'm back!! I finished my student teaching on Friday and I am so glad to be done! It was fun and a great experience, but I am glad to be back at home with Jax now! The last few months have been crazy so I will try to give a quick update of what has been going on! Josh has still been working his life away and Jax has been going to babysitters (thank you wonderful family for helping us out) everyday while I have been student teaching. Baby boy #2 is growing big and by big I mean BIG!! I got SO much bigger so much faster this time! Then I went to the doctor last time and I am measuring 2 weeks big so hopefully they will change my due date and he will come end of February! That would be nice! Jax has discovered snow and he loves it! Except he won't wear gloves so he has got freezing hands a few times and we have had to try to teach him he needs to wear gloves even if he doesn't like them! He is growing so fast and talking SO much lately. He can say almost any word, or at least tries to. He jabbers all day and is our happy little man! Oh the other day Josh was letting Jax shave with him. He likes to put shaving cream on his face and pretend to shave. Josh gave him a razor with the guard on it and he was having a great time. All the sudden Josh looks down and Jax is bleeding profusely. He somehow took the guard off and cut his lip bad!! He didn't even cry he just got mad that we took the razor away! Ha ha so he has got his first cut shaving already!

Here he is playing in the first snow storm!

I can't figure out how to rotate this, but lately Jax has LOVED to vacuum.....ALL DAY LONG! We have a little vacuum that he likes to push around, but it has to be on, there is no tricking this kid. I guess my floors will be super clean until he gets out of this phase!

Alive!

Yes we are alive! I am about 6 weeks in to my student teaching and have 6 weeks left! I CANNOT WAIT to be done. It has been so hard leaving Jax everyday, but I'm half way done! This weekend was our 4 year anniversary which I will post on later when I have more time, but it was interesting and I'm pretty sure Josh has Mono. He has been sleeping for 3 days straight now...We will update on that when we know more. Jax is getting so big and fun and talking up a storm! He tries to say every word but is really good at mom, dad, grandma, papa, cheese, juice, uh oh, tickle but is sounds like tik tik tik, hot, Jesus, cracker and cookie (but they sound a lot a like), oh and he is a PRO at NO! He has recently started trying to say names! He can say Jake, Tyler, Halle, and Taylor. I'm sure there are more, but he just loves all words lately! Anyway, I will post later when I am done with Student Teaching and actually have time! Hope everyone is doing well!

The Happenings!

Well lots has been happening in the Andersen home! This post will be a big summer catch up! First of all Josh turned 27 on July 22nd! We went boating with his family and hung out in Midway! It was really fun! The night before his birthday we went to the Journey and Foreigner concert and it was SO good! It was really fun! For Josh's birthday I got him a tent so our plan was to go camp somewhere close to Midway, but all the campgrounds were full cuz it was the 24th of July weekend so we ended up just putting up the tent in his parents backyard and sleeping out there! The tent is awesome! It is huge and will fit our family forever! ha ha. Jax loved playing in it as well! Jax loved boating! He did so well and just looked around, except he HATED it when Josh would wake board or ski. It made him so nervous! He would just yell "DAD" the whole time and kind of whine! It was cute!

Josh's birthday cake!
Jax boating!

The next big thing is Jake (Josh's brother) graduated from BYU!! YAY JAKE! We went down to Provo and stayed at their house the night before because his graduation was at 8 AM! It was a nice ceremony and then we headed back for Josh to get to work!

Enjoying Jake's graduation cake! ha ha
The whole family!

We have been doing lots of fun things this Summer! Jax is getting so fun! He absolutely LOVES the water! So we have been spending a lot of time at the Rec center pool and in our backyard in his little pool! He loves it! Oh and popsicles are a must!

We also took Jax down to Gateway one day and he LOVED the splash pad they have there. There were so many kids and stuff that I thought he wouldn't even go near it, but he got right in there and was running all around! He biffed it a couple times but always got right back up smiling! He even got sprayed in the face a few times but just laughed! Ha ha he is such a happy boy!

I just love this picture! I love waking up next to this little face! Sometimes he will wake up when Josh leaves so I go get him and put him in bed with me and we sleep for a few more hours! It is my favorite time of day!! He is so cuddly in the mornings!

And last but not least.....
Baby Andersen #2 is on the way!!!
We are so excited! We are due on March 5th! I have been so sick I can't stand it! Seriously I think this will be the last Baby Andersen EVER!!! I start Student Teaching next week so everyone please pray for me that I will be able to get through it without puking 5 times a day!

That's all for now! :)

Jax is WALKING!!!

So Jax has been walking for a few weeks now...I am just now getting around to blogging about it. On July 16th we were up in Park City because my parents had their condo up there for the week and we were spending time up there. Josh's family did a family temple day so we came down on Saturday night to go to the temple and Jax stayed up in Park City with my parents! Jax had only taken like a few steps at a time, but hadn't figured out walking yet, but we knew it would be soon. When we pulled in to Bountiful my dad called me and said that Jax was walking back and forth from the coffee table to the fireplace. Then when we got out of the temple I had like 5 videos from my dad like this! So Josh and I were not even there when he took his first steps :( But, my parents took lots of videos! He has not stopped since! He cruises everywhere! When we got home from the temple that night he walked all the way down the hall from the elevator to our room! It was so crazy to see him walk! It still is, but it is fun! He is our little cruiser man now!

First Hair Cut!

Jax got his first real hair cut yesterday! Chelsi cut my hair and Jax fell asleep so she just cut it while he was sleeping! His hair was SO long on top and he had like a rat tail in the back! It is funny how their hair grows not even. Now he looks like a little boy! He is getting so big! Thank you Auntie Chelsi! :)

4th of July!

For the 4th of July this year we went to Richfield. I LOVE the 4th in Richfield! It is so much fun! I headed down on Wednesday because I was helping with my 5 year reunion. I can't believe I have been graduated for 5 years. It seems so weird, but my reunion went well. It was fun to see lots of friends from High School! On Saturday we ran some last minute errands and went shopping, and then the boys played in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament and it was the diaper derby!! It was so cute! Jax started off so fast and cruised half way down, then everyone started cheering and taking pictures and he froze! He just sat there half way and didn't move any more! So he ended up taking second in his heat....but the other three did not even get off the starting line. ha ha.

Jax loves Zoey!

On Monday we started at the Parade. Jaxson loved catching candy and playing with all the kids! He also had his first punch bag, which he LOVED! After the parade we went to the park and watched everyone play in a volleyball tournament. It was really fun! That night we watched fireworks and then drove home. Jax LOVED the fireworks. The whole next day he kept pointing to the sky and putting his head all the way back looking for fireworks in the sky! It was so funny! We had so much fun this 4th and are looking forward to next year already!

Boating!

We took our first boating trip to Sand Hollow over Memorial Day and it was so fun!! I love boating. I wish we could go everyday! Jax loved playing on the beach in the sand and sitting in the boat, but he never went on a ride in it because he fell asleep!

Me falling....
