Well we had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We headed down to my parents house Wednesday night. Jaxson has decided he hates the car so he screamed the ENTIRE THREE HOURS! I am not even exaggerating a bit. You would think he would get tired of screaming, but no way! This year we celebrated with all of my Dad's family so they all got in Wednesday night or Thursday morning. We had a wonderful dinner and stuffed ourselves as usual. That night Josh and I decided to have our first black friday experience. We wanted an Xbox and Kinect and Walmart was having a screaming deal so we headed to Walmart about 8:45 to wait in line for the sale that started at 10 PM. There was already a line for the Xbox so we got in it. They gave us numbers and then there was a lot of waiting. At 10:00 I could not believe the noises I heard! It sounded like a stampede and there was ripping plastic and cardboard and people running. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen! We quietly waited in line and picked up our Xbox and walked out. While I was waiting in line Josh decided to go wait in line for some games for the Xbox. He came back and looked haggard and said it was the craziest thing he had ever seen. He said it reminded him of Jurassic Park when they drop the cow in the dinosaur cage and it is just gone! That's what happened at ten is everyone in the front grabbed everything and all that was left was broken cardboard! Ha ha. Friday Josh went back to get some more deals, while I shopped online. I have decided online is much easier! I got all the same deals that were already sold out at the store from the comfort of my parents' house with no crowds! It was very nice! The rest of the weekend we just relaxed and ate more yummy food!
Here are some recent cute pictures of Jax I had to share! I looked back at him the other day while we were out running errands and he was sitting like this! He has been doing it a lot lately with his hands behind his head and legs crossed. He is such a big boy!
Once again, looking cute while sleeping! Don't mind my pregnant face in the background. Yikes.
Jax in his favorite hat from Grandma Joyce!
For our last drama....Wednesday night we woke up to wind howling about 3 in the morning! We thought it was going to shatter our windows! It was the craziest thing I have ever seen, needless to say we did not sleep much that night. About 6 AM on Thursday the power went out, by 8 we were FREEZING! I called my sister in law and we went and camped out over there for the day because we had no power. The power company told us most things should be back on by 5 PM, if it was not on by then, be prepared for 48 hours with no power!! 5:00 rolled around and we still had no power. So we decided to stay at my brother's house. Josh and I made a trip home to get some stuff for the night and it was so freaky! When we got off our exit everything was pitch black and all the stop lights were out and it was nuts! Our power came back on sometime during the night I guess, but when we got home look at what was in our front yard!
The 50 foot pine tree right next to our house snapped in half and hit the house in front of us! If it would have fallen the other way it would have smashed our house and gone right through Jax's window! We were very lucky with the way it fell! It was pretty crazy, it made me want to get more prepared for power outages and stuff. I mean, we have food storage and stuff, but really no way to keep warm and in the winter that is not a good thing! Hope everyone was safe in the crazy winds!
