Well the stomach flu hit our little family. It was awful. It was fast and furious. We only threw up for like five or six hours, but those few hours were awful! First it got Jax and it was the saddest thing I have ever seen and there was nothing I could do! My parents were up here and we were on our way to dinner and Jax threw up all over in his car seat. We thought he just kind of choked because he wasn't acting sick so we went home, cleaned everything up, took the car seat all apart to wash it (which is SO difficult and annoying). Jax was acting fine so we decided to still go to dinner, we thought it was a one time thing. So an hour and a half later we loaded up, got like a block away and he threw up again all over in his car seat!!! I had to take it all apart AGAIN and wash it all. I hope I don't have to take that stupid thing apart for a VERY long time! So then we knew he was sick and came home, cleaned up again and just took it easy. Josh came home and we just watched movies with Jax. He is usually so crazy and all over the place and he just wanted his daddy and they laid there and watched movies as Jax threw up about every 15-30 minutes! He went to bed at like 10:30 and slept all night and was fine the next day!

Saturday Josh and I went to Lagoon for his work party while my parents watched Jax. Lagoon was fun and Josh and his friend road the sky coaster! I have already ridden it twice, and didn't want to pay again so I didn't ride. They got some way fun, cool rides since I have been there last.

Sunday I woke up and felt awful!! Josh took Jax to church and I stayed home and was sicker than a dog! By the evening I had stopped throwing up and felt okay. Today I feel fine! It is a crazy bug that is going around and I hope no one gets it because it's awful! We are all well now, hopefully Josh doesn't get it!

Memorial Day and 1 Year!!!

This year for Memorial day we headed to St. George for a nice get away!! Friday night we took off to Richfield and stayed there. Saturday morning we headed to St. George and found WONDERFUL weather, which we have been lacking in Salt Lake. It was heavenly! Saturday the boys went and played racket ball and we all went to the pool! It was so nice to enjoy the warm weather and Jax LOVES swimming! 

That night we had a BBQ at my Aunt's house and just hung out! Sunday we went to church and then made Jax's birthday cake for his part the next day! My mom has a bunch of cute cake pans so I found this cute dog and I think it turned out pretty cute! What do ya think?

Monday we went to this fun park and had a little birthday party for Jax! There was a splash park there that Jax loved and once again we enjoyed the weather! We had cake and ice cream and opened some presents. Jax really wouldn't dig into his cake. He wanted a fork! So we gave him one and he thought he was so big eating with a fork! I guess he is one  now and all grown up :( (I will post pics of that later, they are on my mom's camera and I have to get them from her). After that we went and visited Josh's family and swam for a bit with them. Tuesday we spent the day at Sand Hollow boating with my cousins. It was SO much fun! I have not been boating or wakeboarding forever and let me tell you I am paying for it now! I can barely walk! My back is SO sore and I am extremely out of shape ha ha.

We went back to Richfield Tuesday night and then home Wednesday morning. Josh had taken Wednesday off and didn't want to waste it, so after we got home we headed to Mueller Park and went for a little hike to try out our new back pack carrier for Jax. It worked quite well and Jax loves it, but he wanted to get out and hike like a big boy!

Today is Jax's actual birthday! Where does time go? It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant and anxiously awaiting his arrival! Now he is so big so fast! I went to the store today and bought him a birthday cupcake and he was in heaven! He may not have dug into his last cake, but this one he was sure digging in! He ate his and then was crying because I was eating one, so I had to give him mine too!

Here is a little about Jaxson at one year!

-He does If You're Happy and You Know It and it is so cute when he puts his fingers on his cheeks to show 'happy'!

-He crawls about 100 mph and gets into everything.

-He walks along things still and has taken like 4 steps on his own. He knows crawling is faster so he always just gets down and crawls.

-He loves his daddy! He woke up this morning after being on vacation for so long with Josh everyday and crawled around all morning crying saying "Dad, Dad, Dad" It was so cute but kind of sad! ha ha

-He says Dad, Mom, Dog, Hello-but sounds like hey-ya. He loves to put the phone up to his ear and say "hey-ya". I swear he says other stuff but not very well. I think he at least tries to say everything we say.

- He fake coughs and sneezes whenever anyone does.

-He loves to say 'woof' but sounds like 'ffff'

-He still only signs dog, but has signed eat a few times

-He is a go go goer! He never stops and he is SO hard to feed. It is like a wrestling match to feed the kid.

-He loves outside and freaks out every time someone opens the door.

-He has a little microphone and loves to make noises in it because it is loud! It is so funny.

-He loves to dance! He will bounce up and down and say 'da da da' for 'dance, dance, dance'

-He loves books!

I'm sure there are lots more but that is all I can think of at the moment! We love Jax so much and he is such a blessing in our lives! I don't know what we would do without him! Happy Birthday Jax!!
