TeMpLe DaY!

Josh and I made the 3 hour long trip to the Washington DC temple yesterday. It was beautiful! We left when Josh got done with school at about 1:30 and made it to the 6:00 session. Then when we got there I realized I had forgotten my camera. So this picture was taken with my phone. Being from Utah we were expecting to eat before the session in the temple cafeteria because we were STARVING by the time we got there. To our suprise the cafeteria was a bunch of vending machines! We had 6 dollars in cash so we got a sandwich, a grilled ham and chesse, a burrito, a hot pocket, some pretzels, and a rice stir fry. And we still had 5 cents to spare! Those were quite the vending machines! But now we know we must eat before we go! The session was great and then on our way home was yet another adventure. We have a GPS and it was telling us how to get home. But the only problem was we kept reading it wrong. I don't know how it was happening but we kept missing exits or getting off on the wrong ones! Finally after 3 detours we stopped at Arby's for yet another meal and asked the worker for help. We finally rolled in about 11:30 last night. So it was quite the trip compared to our usual 10 minute drive to the temple in Ogden. Or 5 minute trip in Ephraim. But it was well worth it. The temple was amazing!

Shoo Fly Pie and Reptileland!

So since we have moved to Pennsylvania we have heard SO much about this wonderful Shoo Fly Pie that the Amish make. Especially from Josh's dad Ralph. So when we went to the Farmer's Market yesterday we decided to buy a small one and try it out. Last night we did it. We had our first bite of Shoo Fly Pie and let me tell you....it was not very good. It's really molassesy, I don't think that's a word but it was like taking a bite of molasses with flour all over the top. Apparently we aren't true Pennsylvanians but that's ok because I'm a Utahn through and through! We also had our first experience with the famous Amish sausages. They were kind of like hot dogs but way better! Now this is a different story. They were really good!! We loved them!

Josh had a wonderful little field trip today for his Biology class. I know I know he is going to one of the most expensive schools in the nation and he goes on field trips to Reptileland? How does that work? But he said it was really cool. He got to pet a 3 foot alligator and a 5 foot boa constricter.

FaMiLy!

Before Josh and I left to come to Pennsylvania we went and spent a weekend with my parents in Richfield. We had tons of fun with my family. Ralph and Heidi were out of town so we were babysitting the twins. One day we went on the Marysvale bike path and had lunch at Hoovers in Marysvale. Well, ok we only rode back down because it was raining! We drove to the top and rode down ha ha. As you can see in the picture I had an old lady bike. It was the greatest thing ever! It had the most comfy seat on it in the world and big handle bars that came up high so you didn't have to bend over. I stole it from my mom and made her ride the regular bike with the seat that gave you buttitis. My brother's fiance Cori screamed and freaked out because she almost ran over a snake! It was pretty funny!

We also went fishing and had a picnic at Fish Lake. We didn't catch anything all day and it was FREEZING but it was so much fun! And the only reason we didn't catch anything was because I wasn't fishing....only Josh and the twins were. Had I been fishing we would have caught the whole lake! :) We retold our engagement story on the bridge at twin creeks ha ha. We were able to see all of my family before we left and spend some good quality time with them. I have one of the best families in the world I think!

Pennsylvania!

Well we did it! We loaded up our 26 foot Penske truck with our car hooked to the back and we drove the 38 hours to good old Lewisburg Pennsylvania. The trip actually wasn't too bad because we had the twilight books on CD. I had read them before but Josh hadn't and he is HOOKED!! We got through the first two books on the way and he still need to listen to the third one. We didn't even say like 10 words to each other the whole time because we were both so into the books. Everytime we would get in the car Josh would say "What's happening to Bella?" so I had to turn it on. It was a good trip though.

Here we are! This is our old "new" home in Lewisburg Pennsylvania! So far we are loving it, except it has been over 90 degrees everyday with 90% humidity. That is taking some getting used to. We finally broke down and went and bought an air conditioner. We couldn't take it anymore.

Today I had the experience of going to the Farmer's Market and buying some fruit and cheese from the Amish!! It was quite a good time and I loved it because everything was so cheap! Josh is doing great and just getting into football, although he is struggling getting used to the heat as well. He almost puked and passed out on the first day! Church on Sunday was amazing! It really is true that no matter where you go you always have a family with the church! We have already made some great friends in the ward. There are alot of young families in our ward so it helps to fit in! We are loving having our own place again! I am in the process of looking for a job for the summer. I got accepted into Nursing school here so I will be starting in August. Josh is going to summer school, football, and works at a Juvenile House of Hope place on Saturday's! Everything is going great and we are enjoying it so far!
