Surgery- WARNING VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED! :)

Last Thursday Josh went in for Pectoralis Major Tendon Repair. His tendon ripped completely off the bone of his humerous. Josh's Mom, Heidi, was able to come out Wednesday and stayed till Sunday to help. It was so nice to have her here and keep me company while Josh was in surgery and resting after. The surgery went well and now he has 2 screws and some anchors and heavy duty stitches in his arm. Josh calls it fishing line. Ha ha. He is going to go back to school tomorrow for the first time. He is still in a big sling and has to wear it for a while. He gets his staples out tomorrow. They had to shave his chest and armpit for surgery so we had to shave the rest of it and the other arm pit! Ha ha I told him he looked like a fem! He is just so hairy that it is weird to see him without hair!! We will just have to play it by ear with football. The doctor told us that 6 months is minimal and 18 months is optimal for him to go back to play. The scary thing is is that if he goes back too soon and injures it again it can't be fixed. He will just lose that motion and strength in his arm. So he definitely doesn't want to do that again. He wouldn't be able to pick up our children or play sports
with them or anything very well. So we are taking it a day at a time. He is so independent and tries to do everything by himself. So this has been good for him to have to let people help him!

I forgot to take any pictures while Heidi was out here but we had a great time! We love when people come to visit so if anyone ever wants to come we would love it!!

We hope everyone is doing well!! :)

My Injured Valentine...

This morning I went to CVS to get some eggs for breakfast and when I got back this cute display was on my kitchen table! Josh is so cute! We weren't going to get each other anything big for V-day this year but he still makes it cute and special! He is awesome! Tonight we are going to go to our stake activity for dinner and a marriage enrichment night! :)
Yesterday was quite an eventful day. We got up bright and early because Josh had a doctors appointment. The night before at football he hurt his shoulder and they didn't know exactly what he did to it. So from 8 in the morning till like 3 in the afternoon we were at the hospital doing x-rays and MRI's etc. Well it turns out that Josh tore his pectoralis major (Peck) tendon right off the bone. He is scheduled for surgery next Thursday to attach it back to the bone. Right now he just has to keep it in a sling and not use his arm. We have bad luck with shoulders in our family I guess. I had shoulder surgery my senior year, my dad has had it, my grandpa has had both shoulders, and now Josh! We don't know how this is going to affect his season yet like if he will be able to play this year or what is going on. So I will update as we have information.
Also last night was my first Mary Kay debut party! I didn't quite have the turnout I expected but it still went really well and I got other bookings and sales so it was a good start. 10 people RSVP'd but only 4 showed up! It was good though! Now I can get going! If anyone wants to help me I need to do 30 faces in the first 30 days! So if anyone wants a free make over/facial and would like to help me I would LOVE it!! I need lots of practice! All is well here in PA! I will keep everyone updated on Josh's surgery. Hopefully all will go well! We hope everyone has a great Valentines Day!

Ice Festival

This past weekend was the Lewisburg Ice Festival! It was really fun and something totally different than I had ever been to before. Our friends Liz and Jim and their cute daughter Lilly were able to come hang out with us all day. We went to lunch and then walked all around Lewisburg. In front of all the stores on Market Street they had ice sculptures. They were really cool! I had never seen anything like it really. Then at the park they had tons of games for little kids and more ice sculptures like the bear chair. Then the  funniest thing was at 2:00 they had a Polar Bear Plunge where people paid 15 dollars (for charity) to jump in the Susquehanna! It is completely iced over they had to cut a big square out of the ice so people could jump in. Josh said the ice on the river was like 7 inches thick! Those people were crazy. We got some funny videos of it. Of course Josh was out standing on the ice so he could get good pictures. He said he is doing it next year! Ha ha we will see I guess. It was a really fun day though!

Josh doing his own plunge! This sculpture was my favorite! It was a cute frog!

On Friday night we went to Jim and Liz's and had dinner with them and played DDR and Guitar Hero! It was so fun to hang out with friends again! We are so glad they moved here so we could have more friends! Also my Mom and Chelsi are coming out here February 19th! We are going to go to NYC and just hang out! I am so excited!

Bacon Anyone?

So today I walked into the kitchen and Josh was frying bacon....with his sunglasses on! I looked at him and asked him what he was doing and he said, "I was getting grease in my eyes!" Ha ha I laughed my head off! He is so funny. I guess that is a new way of doing things. He keeps my days happy! I love him so much he is the greatest husband anyone could ask for!
