HoLiDaYs AnD UpDaTeS!

Well we have had a great few months! It has been a while since we updated so this will be extra long! We'll start off with Thanksgiving. We went to Connecticut again with Josh's Aunt and Uncle. It was very fun and we had a great time with them. We ate dinner at their friends house on the beach, and of course Josh had to show off and walk on some posts out in the water and go out the farthest, and GUESS WHAT?! He fell in! Ha ha it was funny. On the morning of Thanksgiving the guys went on a little hike and took the babies. Josh said it was really pretty and fun! On December 18th we left to go to Salt Lake to see our families for Christmas. The 19th was Josh's sisters birthday and so we went to this place called "Color Me Mine" in Park City and got to paint our own ceramics. It was their 12th birthday so we went to do Baptisms at the Provo temple afterwards. Then we went to eat at Tepenyaki's and went to get cake at Magelby's. One of the coolest things happened there! If you watch So You Think You Can Dance then this will be cool. We saw Ryan and Ashleigh from the show! They finished 5th and 6th in the finals. I was pretty excited and of course Ralph had to go get them from their table and ask them for a picture, but I'm glad he did! Now I have proof. Anyway, that night we headed to Richfield to see my family. Sunday we went to Church in Richfield. We also did our Christmas that day with grandma and grandpa and Tyler and Cori and my parents. My parents got us this AWESOME new camera and a really cool quilt, and some other great things! The next few days were spent hanging out with family, making our annual gingerbread houses, playing games etc. Josh and I won the gingerbread competition once again....We made our future in Utah with a house and a baby and a swing. My parents made Spongebob's Pineapple under the sea, Tyler and Cori made Christmas morning and my grandparents made a great house complete with an ice skater and santa falling off the roof and reindeer poop. We got to see Callen and Kellie and their new baby Brooklyn, she is a DOLL! I also got to go to lunch with Merica and her mom Patti and see her little girl. It was so fun to see everyone. On Wednesday we headed up to Salt Lake again to do a little maternity clothes shopping for my birthday. After that we went to my cousin Angee's for a little Christmas party with my Aunt and cousins. Santa came too and he called up baby Andersen! He/She got a cute outfit for either a boy or a girl. It was so fun to see all the little kids so excited....or scared to death. Angee, Jenni and Me are all pregnant so we got a picture of all of us! It is fun to be pregnant with them at the same time. Thursday was Christmas Eve and we spent it with Josh's family. We went to his Grandma's for the annual Christmas Eve Party. They always act out the birth of Christ and it is so fun every time! The new person always has to be the donkey so I had to do that a few years ago, but thankfully this time they didn't make me. No one new has married in yet. I was glad they didn't make a pregnant woman be the donkey! :) We opened our Christmas PJ's that night and I headed to bed. Josh and Jake (his brother) stayed up to put together a double shot his parents had got for a family gift. The next day was Christmas! I was the first one up believe it or not! I was still struggling with the time change. Everyone got up about 9 or so and we started opening presents. At the Andersen house they like to make it last ALL day. They have trees and presents in every room so we just migrate around the house opening presents all day. We started in the living room with Santa's gifts. We got this really cool Flip video camera! We really needed one with the baby coming and stuff and it is so small and it even does HD! Now we just need an HD TV ha ha. After a short break we headed downstairs and opened those gifts. Everyone got these machine gun nerf guns! Jacee, Ellie, Jake and Josh had lots of wars with those. It was so funny to watch. I will post a video of one of the wars. Then we went to the formal living room and opened the rest. Josh got me the cutest willow tree statues and a snuggie and a bumbles watch. The rest of the day was spent playing with toys and napping. We had a great Christmas dinner that night. The next day we kind of celebrated my birthday because we won't be there for it. Heidi made cupcakes and Cream Roll and we opened some presents. I got some more maternity clothes, a microphone for the computer, some shoes, and Forever Strong. Then that night we had a get together with all Josh's friends from High School. it was so fun! Courtney and Hailey have a little baby girl named Liberty. She was SUCH a doll and such a good baby. It was really preparing Josh and I!! :) Sunday we spent the whole day traveling back home. It was crazy with security and stuff at the airport. We almost missed our flight on the way to Utah. We had to run to the gate! Since we have been home I have not been feeling well at all so we went to the doctor yesterday. I guess my gall bladder is having issues, so I just have to watch what I eat and eat healthy! Everything is good with baby! We should find out soon what gender he/she is. I will be so glad to finally find out what we're having so we can stop saying it and start talking about names! We had a great Holiday! I hope everyone else did too. We are so blessed with WONDERFUL families. We can't wait to move closer to them. Thanks everyone for helping us make such good memories!

P.S. I know the pics are all at the top...it wasn't like that when I was writing it and I don't know how to fix it...SORRY!

BIG NEWS!!

That's right we are pregnant!! I am 11 weeks along and due June 17th. I have not blogged since we found out because there is NO way I could without telling. We are SO super excited!! We have been in for three ultra sounds already because I was "high risk" from my molar pregnancy before. But, everything is looking great and normal! Our last one was so neat because while the doctor was giving me the ultra sound the baby was moving all around and we saw both legs and feet swimming around. We just sat there in awe! It is just amazing! And look at that brain! We are going to have a smarty pants on our hands!
I have been pretty sick, which has been hard while working full time. I have vomited in many public places and it is not an experience I wish to have ever again if possible. I have been throwing up about once a day since I was 5 weeks. I am hoping it will start to fade in the next week or so. Josh has been great though and takes such good care of me.
In other news, Josh is DONE WITH FOOTBALL FOREVER!!! He had his last game Saturday and they won! It was a great game and a great way to end the season. He is loving having more time.
We are headed to Connecticut tomorrow to spend Turkey day with Josh's Aunt Mindy and Uncle Drew. We went there last year too and we are excited to see them again! We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Penn State

Josh and I were able to go to the Penn State game this Saturday. My work has season tickets and we could put in for different games. It was Homecoming and it was FREEZING! They banned all tailgating because of the weather. So it was not exactly what we were hoping for but it was still way fun. We just bundled up really good and we stayed warm. We were on the 21st row so we were really close. The stadium was HUGE and it was pretty much sold out, even considering the weather. Penn State won 20-0 so it was kind of a blow out! It was cool to see Joe Paterno though. I can't believe he is still coaching. He was on the sidelines the whole game though. I had heard he has to watch from the box because he is getting so old, but he was there right on the sidelines. It was really fun and Josh LOVED it!

Fall

Fall is here and I love it. My mom sent me this cute new scentsy warmer for fall. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen and I have been burning yummy fall scents. The leaves are changing outside and it is getting so pretty. Falls here are BEAUTIFUL. That is one thing I like about the East. I have been making pumpkin cookies and pumpkin bread and really getting into the spirit this year. I can't believe that this year is flying by so fast and it is almost over.

My great-grandma Mackay passed away last night in the hospital at the age of 88. She was such a great lady and always happy and smiling. I am hoping to be able to fly home this week and go to her funeral. I am so grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that I have that I know where she is and that I will be able to see her again someday. I love you Grandma!

Anniversary Number Two!

Tomorrow is our 2nd anniversary! I cannot believe it has been two years already since we were sealed for time and all eternity!! :) We celebrated this weekend. Josh is so cute! He had surprises planned everyday. On Friday I got off at 6:30 and he came to pick me up...in someone else's car. He had dinner from our favorite cafe to go and a blondie..my favorite dessert from Applebee's. All of my favorite things! He had tons of stuff in the back seat that were all covered up with blankets. He took me to our favorite park with all of the ducks and we had dinner. Then we headed up the mountains.....well mountains for Pennsylvania I guess. He wouldn't tell me where we were going. We drove up and found this little secluded spot, and he uncovered the back seat. He had the TV and the playstation and movies. His plan was to play guitar hero (beca

use it is my favorite) and watch a movie in the mountains! The reason he had our friends car is because apparently he blew the fuse in our car while trying to get the TV and everything to work. Ha ha we'll have to fix that later. It was really dark and we were in the deep woods so I told Josh we should have a plan in case a bear came or something. So we talked about it a little bit and went on with our night. We got out and got everything all set up and sat in our lawn chairs and started playing guitar hero. Half way through Sweet Child of Mine we heard this BIG noise in the bushes behind us. It was WAY bigger than a squirrel or a rabbit. We both jumped up and I was armed with my guitar. Josh grabbed the flashlight, but we didn't see anything. We were both a little jumpy after that so we loaded up and headed back down towards some camp sites. Apparently we awoke some kind of large animal from its slumber in the deep forest. We parked down by this lake and Josh pulled out another surprise.

I have a manicure set thing that I do every now and then and he said he was going to give me a manicure! So we sat in the car and listened to music while he filed my nails! :) He wanted to be romantic so he brought strawberries for me to feed to him...HA HA! Since I do not like strawberries he brought me apples and caramel dip. We snacked for a bit and then headed back down towards home. The next day we woke up and Josh said he had another surprise at 2:00. I cleaned the house and got ready and then he told me we were going kayaking! We got loaded and ready to go and headed out to the mighty Susquehanna to go kayaking! It was really fun and really pretty! It was a beautiful day! Then we came home and got ready and went to dinner at this little steak and seafood place. It was

really good! Josh did such a good job and really tried to makeeverything special. He is so awesome! I do not know what I would do with out him. I love him SO much and I'm so glad that we can spend forever together! We have been through so much these past two years and we can't wait for what we have to come!

Here are a few pictures of our big day two years

Update!

Well it seems like life has begun again. Josh is in full swing with football and school. Although he is not traveling with football because his peck is not healed yet, so that has been SO nice for him to be home on the weekends! Last week some of our friends, Bree and Mike, were visiting family in State College so I was able to go down one night after work and have dinner with them and see Penn State campus and stadium. It was so cool and really fun to see them! On Friday night Josh and I went on our date night to dinner and a movie. It was Josh's turn to pick so we saw GI Joe....it was okay for a boy action blow up stuff show! I really wanted to see What About Steve but Josh promised me we could go this week! Maybe tonight for FHE so I'll let you know how that goes! I have had a week break in classes and start tomorrow my first Math for Educators class so I am excited to finally get into some classes for my major! On Saturday we went to the DC temple. It was so awesome! Our friend Jon from Bucknell went with us also, so it was good to have some company. I love the DC temple. I think it may be one thing I miss when we move. Also GOOD NEWS!!! I got my last blood test about a week ago following my molar pregnancy!! It has been a whole year since that whole thing happened! While I can't believe it has been a year, I am so happy it has because that means we are in the clear to start trying to have a baby if we want to! This past year has been one of the hardest of my life...EVER!!! But, I learned a lot and I am SO glad it is over and I don't have to go to the doctor so often and get my blood taken all the time and WORRY so much. PHEW!

Gettysburg, FHE & HEAT!!

Well things have been busy busy at the Andersen home! Josh has been gone ALL DAY LONG at football camp for three weeks. Thank goodness the coaches let him come home to sleep or I would have gone crazy. It ends tomorrow though. While he was gone I went one Sunday and met some of our good friends Callen and Kellie in Gettysburg. They were in DC selling Security Systems. We drove around Gettysburg with a CD telling us about everything that happened there. It was pretty cool and very interesting. I learned a lot. For instance...that Gettysburg was part of the Civil War.....ha ha I actually asked that question and got a lot of crap for it. I never liked History Class. :) It was really good to see them though. I can't wait to move back to Utah and have friends to hang out with again!

ice bags on his head and neck and the
fan blowing on him and was sweating to death!! Ha ha he is so funny. It has been pretty hot and humid here. Our air conditioner has been working over time and it started leaking into our house! Josh has rigged a little contraption so it goes down a paper towel and into a little bowl. He's so smart!

Everything is going well in PA! Josh starts school tomorrow and we're back to the grind! He is still not playing football, just doing the drills. He is probably done for the season. But, that is good I think because I don't want him to get hurt again and take the risk of being hurt for life! He
figured out that he can double major in Spanish and International Relations and still graduate on time! It is going to be tough with lots of hard classes, but he can do it! And it will be so worth it in the end.

Oh we are also really excited because we were able to get Penn State tickets through my work so we are going to a Penn State game in October and they are really good seats! We are counting down the days in PA and trying to get everything in that we wanted to see while we were out here! Only 8 months left!!!! :)

Rainy day at Knoebels

I had a work picnic this last Wednesday at Knoebels Amusement Park. We got there and it was a little cloudy but not too bad. After we ate lunch we headed out to the roller coaster. We were next in line and it started POURING!! They closed down all the rides. I have never seen it rain before like it does in the East. Luckily Josh had an umbrella in his pocket and we stood under a little overhang of a building during the really bad part of the storm. There was a literal river in the parking lot and we were wading in ankle deep water trying to find our car. Needless to say our day at the Amusement Park did not turn out the way we had hoped...but it was still a lot of fun.
In other
news, I cannot believe that it is August! Where did Summer go? This week is Josh's last week at work. He was going to start Football camp on the 9th but his shoulder is not healed enough yet so he will not be going to camp. It is not looking good for the season either. Only 9 more months in PA! I'm not counting down or anything. :) Josh has been making contacts with businesses and trying to get internships. If anyone has any good contacts in Utah please let us know! :)

VaCaTiOn!!

Let me warn you now...this is going to be a LONG post with lots of pictures! My parents were able to come out for 10 days and visit. They got here on Thursday and Josh went and picked them up from the airport on Friday. Saturday morning we headed to Palmyra New York. We did a temple session, went to the sacred grove, and saw the Hill Cumorah Pageant! It was awesome. Every time I go there I love it even more and it strengthens my testimony.

Sunday we just went to church, but the ward we went to was an English, Spanish, and Deaf ward. So we had pe
ople signing in the front and translators in the back, and we had two confirmations done
in Spanish that day. It was the most diverse ward I have ever been to but it was awesome. After church we headed to Niagara
Falls! We saw the falls and walked around the park there and saw all the neat things.

Monday we woke up
 and went to do
our Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour on the Niagara River. This was the coolest thing ever! We were in this Jet Boat and got SOAKED on the rapids. Click here and watch the video of the boats. It was awesome. If you go to Niagara Falls you HAVE to do it!!

Tuesday we spent most of the day in Lewisburg and went to the famous Freez and Mya's Cafe. That afternoon we headed out to NYC! Our hotel was awesome. We stayed at the Marriott at Times Square. You can see the view from our room. We were right on Times Square and it was so cool.

Wednesday was Josh's birthday and the boys went to the Yankees game and my Mom and I went to Wicked. It was my second time seeing Wicked and I LOVE it so much! It is so awesome. I got the soundtrack and I have been blasting it ever since! We went to dinner for his birthday and walked around NYC. Thursday we went on a double decker bus and saw all the sights. We got off at the Statue of Liberty. My mom bought a knock off purse and it was quite an experience. She
said she felt like she did something wrong because the guy that was selling it looked around and pulled his sheet full of purses into a corner and sold us a purse. Ha ha we had a great time in NYC and saw some awesome sights! On Friday we headed to RB Winter Park and had a picnic. It is so pretty there! We had such a good trip and I am so glad my parents were able to come out and we had such a good time. I can't wait to move home soon and be around our families.
