Slacker!!! Blog Overload!

Well, it is official....I am the worst blogger ever! LOTS has happened in the Andersen family since I posted last! First of all was Christmas! Sad that I have not posted since then but better late than never right?!
A few weeks before Christmas we went down to Richfield to celebrate! It was the weekend of the light parade so we went to that and opened presents. It was a fun weekend! Then we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Josh’s family in Midway. Jaxson was so fun because he was old enough to get it and play with the toys! Right after Christmas we moved into a house! We have loved having more room and a big yard and stuff. Jax loves having more room to play.

Making Christmas sugar cookies, Jax LOVED it!

January we celebrated my 24th birthday! Oh dear I’m getting old!

February was a BIG month for us! First of all my brother and sister-in-law had a baby! She was born February 3 and they named her Elle! It was so neat for them to have a baby and I became an Aunt! It is awesome!
Then we had Valentines Day! Jaxson got some candy and some new Valentine’s Day pajamas! Josh got me some beautiful flowers and I got him a balloon bouquet with some fun little sayings attached to each balloon! The last thing that happened in February is we had our baby!!! I will tell the labor story etc. so if you don’t want to read that skip down.

Jax helping Dad put together the crib! SO helpful!
On February 22nd it was just a normal day and I was home with Jax. I had a sinus infection so we were just hanging out at home. All the sudden I started getting really light headed and dizzy and nauseous. I thought maybe I needed to eat something so I went and ate a bunch of stuff and I was still feeling weird. I called Josh and asked him to come home because I was afraid I was going to pass out. He left and was coming home and I called the doctor. They asked me to take my blood pressure, so I did and it was through the roof!! They told me I needed to go in to labor and delivery right now. As soon as Josh got home we left to go to the hospital. They admitted me and got me all hooked up and sure enough my blood pressure was really high. My doctor thought it was best to just start me since I was only 2 weeks from my due date. We had not packed anything or brought anything to the hospital because we did not think we would be having a baby that day! Any way they started me and we called our families. My parents left Richfield right then and Josh’s mom came down to the hospital. Jake and Chelsi left Provo to come too. My brother came and got Jaxson from us at the hospital and we were ready to wait. They started me at about 1:45. An hour or so later I was progressing quickly so I got an epidural. My parents arrived a few hours later and I was getting close. My doctor was supposed to get off at five and the on call doctor would have to deliver me, so I was hoping I would got before five so my doctor could deliver me. She came down to check on me a little after five and I was almost ready, so she said she would go do some paper work and wait as long as she could. Some time later I was ready to push! I really wanted to push, but the doctor was not there yet. As soon as she got there I pushed for 5 minutes and Jonah was here!! They put him right on my chest and just let me hold him for a long time! I kept thinking they needed to take him away and make sure he was ok, but they kept reassuring me he was fine and to hold him. With Jax they had to take him away right away because he was so little and had a few issues, so I thought they would have to do the same. It was so nice to just hold him and bond for the first few moments of his life. He didn’t even cry! He was so content and just laid and looked around. Jonah was born at 5:52 PM and was 8 lbs. 13 oz. and 22 inches long! He was a BIG boy for being two weeks early! Soon they moved us up to our room and Jonah was doing great. He didn’t have jaundice, he was eating and nursing well and it was great! We came home a few days later and it has been great. Jonah is such a good baby and Jax has adjusted really well to being a big brother! Jonah is so mellow and hardly ever cries, unless Jaxson sprays him in the face with a squirt bottle! Ha ha. It is so different with two. I have been SO exhausted, but Jonah is finally starting to sleep 6-7 hours at night so I am starting to feel better. We are so blessed to have these two little guys in our lives!

Here are just some random cute pictures! Jax loves books!

March was a bit of a blur because I was a walking zombie for most of it. The end of March we bought a new car! We got a Mitsubishi Endeavor and we have loved it! It is big so we can fit all of us in it and the double stroller, which was not possible in the Prius! In April we headed to Richfield for conference weekend! It was our first road trip with both boys and it went well, except for Jax got car sick on the way down and puked all over….that was fun in our new car!  Jax got his skin tags removed the first week of April. He did such a good job. I thought it was going to be so much worse than it was. Primary Children's is awesome. They had this lady come out while he was waiting and gave him a hospital buddy to decorate and brought him a bucket of all the different things the doctor uses like a stethoscope and the breathing mask and stuff for him to play with and get used to. Then when it was time to take him back, they got him a wagon all ready with toys, pillows and books and put him in it and wheeled him off. He did so good! Didn't even cry. Then after they monitored him for a bit, because I guess when they took him off the breathing thing after surgery, he didn't start breathing right away, which I guess is pretty normal with kids? So they had to give him this drug to reverse all the medications and he did great after that. The next day he was completely fine and back to himself! His ears look so good! I'm so glad that is over!
Then we had Easter of course! Holidays are so much more fun with kids! Jax loved the Easter egg hunts and dying eggs. We are still trying to eat all of the candy he got!! He got spoiled! :)

 Before surgery
 After surgery...a little groggy
